Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Model Box (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our services (“Services”). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
Questions or concerns? If you have questions about our use of cookies or other technologies, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide a better user experience.
2. What Cookies Do We Use?
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Services to function. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or setting your preferences. Without these cookies, the Services cannot operate properly.
We use authentication cookies to keep you securely logged in and to protect your account during the login process. These cookies are managed by our authentication provider and are set as secure, HTTP-only cookies that cannot be accessed by third-party scripts.
| Provider | Cookies | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Kinde | 8 | Authentication, session management, and billing |
Functional Cookies
These cookies remember choices you make to provide enhanced functionality and personalization.
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
mb_theme | Remembers your color theme preference (light/dark) |
mb_loc | Remembers your language preference |
mb_sidebar | Remembers whether the sidebar is open or collapsed |
mb_cc | Stores your cookie consent preferences |
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how you use the Service so we can improve it. They are only set if you give consent via our cookie banner.
| Provider | Cookies | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog | 2-3 | Usage analytics, session identification |
Error Monitoring
We use Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring. Sentry may store a small amount of data locally to correlate error reports. This does not require consent as it falls under our legitimate interest in maintaining a stable and secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Traffic Analytics
We use a self-hosted instance of Umami for basic traffic analytics. Umami does not collect any personally identifiable information — it only records anonymous, aggregate data such as page views, browser type, country of origin, and visit times. Because Umami is self-hosted and does not use cookies or collect personal data, it does not require consent.
3. How Can You Control Cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the Privacy section in your account settings, which allows you to change your analytics cookie preferences.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are stored on your device
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all websites
Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Services (such as logging in) will not function properly.

4. Do We Update This Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
